Who was Alain Delon? -
Alain Delon left us on August 18. His talent, charisma and passion will remain engraved in the history of French cinema. Here is what we wrote here almost a year ago:
"Alain Delon played the role of Caesar in one of the film adaptations of Asterix. And for good reason. Alain Delon speaks of himself in the third person, Alain Delon is the emperor of French cinema, Alain Delon is⊠Alain Delon. Raised for six decades as a cinema icon alongside Brigitte Bardot or other celebrities like Marlon Brando, James Dean, etc. Delon is still looking for the role that will end his career at the top."
The opportunity to rewatch one or two cult films and talk about the legacy of this giant of cinema.

Preparation:
watch this week's episode about Alain Delon: https://youtu.be/QG_q_YqwyXo (Subtitles are available in French and English by clicking on the CC button on the YouTube control bar).
watch one of his movies (I chose Henri Verneuil's "Mélodie en Sous-Sol", but any other would do, like René Clément's "Plein Soleil", Jacques Deray's "La Piscine" or Henri Verneuil's  Le Clan des Siciliens)
prepare one or two questions
Let's share our opinions on this (sometimes) controversial figure in this week's conversation:
